Holmesglen's Plumbing and Mechanical Services Department delivers hands-on, industry-relevant training from pre-apprenticeship through to post-trade. With modern facilities and strong industry partnerships, we prepare students with the practical skills and knowledge needed for successful careers in the plumbing and mechanical services industries.
As the Education Manager, you will provide educational leadership across licensed trade training programs, ensuring high-quality delivery, strong student outcomes, and alignment with industry needs. You will oversee the planning and delivery of Certificate IV Plumbing Skill Sets and Certificate II Plumbing programs, including timetabling, staffing, resources, assessment, compliance, and blended learning. Working closely with teaching teams, you will drive continuous improvement, support staff development, and foster an engaging learning environment for students and staff.
As an Education Manager, you will:

Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of plumbing programs, including pre-apprenticeships, apprenticeships, Plumbing Skill Sets, and Victorian Secondary Schools programs.

Recruit, lead, and support teaching and support staff, fostering high performance, professional development, and quality learning outcomes.

Ensure compliance with ASQA standards, training package requirements, and internal quality processes, including audits, validation, moderation, and training package transitions.

Oversee key learner and apprenticeship processes, including enrolments, timetabling, LLN, RPL, student progress, retention, and completions.

Build and maintain strong industry partnerships to ensure programs remain current, responsive, and aligned with workforce needs.
To be successful, you’ll have:

Demonstrated management experience, with the ability to lead and develop teaching teams.

Proven VET leadership experience, including course delivery, staff support, and quality learning outcomes.

Strong knowledge of VET compliance, ASQA standards, training packages, and adult learning principles.

Ability to build industry partnerships and align programs with workforce and organisational needs.

Strong operational skills, including resource management, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

An approved adult teaching qualification (AQF 5–6) is required, with a relevant trade qualification considered an advantage.
WWCC and Police Check:
Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Victorian ‘employee’ Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
