Broughton Anglican College is a Pre Kinder to Year 12 Christian School in the Macarthur region, providing exceptional educational opportunities to more than 1,400 students. Staff enjoy a collaborative and innovative teaching environment with supportive peers, students, parents and carers.
This position is a full-time permanent position commencing Term 1 2027.
The Head of English will:
- lead the development of engaging and effective teaching and learning programs for the faculty, reflecting the Christian ethos of the College
- lead and support English staff to achieve high-quality outcomes for all students
- oversee curriculum planning and ensure requirements are met in line with College expectations
- support student wellbeing using a positive behaviour framework
- manage faculty operations, including documentation, safety, budget, staff allocations and processes
- build a positive and collaborative team culture through coaching and staff development
- have proven expertise in at least one area of Stage 6 English
Details of Employment
This position is responsible directly to the Principal, who may delegate authority to the Deputy Principal of Senior School (7–12).
The Head of English will also teach across a two-week timetable and undertake other duties as determined by the Principal (or delegated authority).
Salary will reflect what is appropriate according to the candidate’s training and accreditation, plus the Leadership Level 2 allowance under the Independent Schools (Teachers) Cooperative Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2025.
