We’re looking for a passionate and hands-on Housekeeping Supervisor to support our Executive Housekeeper in leading a high-performing housekeeping operation. About the role
Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, you’ll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day housekeeping operation, ensuring our 130 guest rooms and public areas are presented to the highest standard.
Working alongside our dedicated in-house team and our external housekeeping agency, you’ll foster a collaborative “one team” culture while ensuring consistency, efficiency and exceptional service throughout the hotel.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Executive Housekeeper with the daily operation of the Housekeeping department.
- Supervise, coach and motivate both our in-house housekeeping team and external housekeeping agency.
- Coordinate daily room allocations and ensure all guest rooms and public areas meet IHG and voco brand standards.
- Conduct room inspections and provide coaching and feedback to maintain quality.
- Build strong working relationships with our housekeeping agency to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing training of team members.
- Handle guest requests and resolve housekeeping concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Assist with deep cleaning programs and preventative maintenance initiatives.
- Monitor housekeeping supplies, linen and equipment while supporting sustainable work practices.
- Work closely with Front Office, Maintenance and other departments to deliver a seamless guest experience.
- Ensure all workplace health and safety procedures, policies and brand standards are followed.
About you
You’ll be someone who enjoys leading by example and takes genuine pride in creating welcoming, well-presented spaces for guests.
You’ll also have:
- Previous supervisory experience within a hotel housekeeping environment (favourable not essential)
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Experience working with outsourced housekeeping teams or contractors (highly regarded).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A keen eye for detail and commitment to quality.
- The ability to remain calm, organised and positive in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
- Full Australian working rights.
