Your new role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced funding and analytics professional to provide expert advice and lead high-level analysis that supports organisational performance, funding optimisation and strategic healthcare outcomes. You will:
Provide specialist advice on Activity Based Funding (ABF), funding classifications, benchmarking and performance reporting initiatives.
Lead complex analysis of clinical, financial and operational data to identify opportunities for funding optimisation and service improvement.
Undertake research, quality improvement and development projects relating to casemix classification and clinical data models.
Deliver executive-level reports, recommendations and insights that inform strategic direction, operational efficiency and healthcare planning.
About you:
We are seeking a highly analytical and collaborative professional who can translate complex healthcare data into meaningful funding and performance outcomes. You have:
Extensive experience in funding classification, optimisation and Activity Based Funding within a tertiary healthcare environment.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interrogate, interpret and present complex clinical and financial data.
Proven ability to prepare high-quality reports, submissions and recommendations for executive stakeholders.
Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams and specialties.

About the Unit
The Health Funding Analysis service provides information and analysis to assist with:
Activity Based Funding,
Monitoring activity performance and trends in service delivery,
Development of strategies to improve efficiencies and funding outcomes,
Supporting quality improvement activities,
Planning of new services, and
Comparisons of activity for benchmarking between services.
