You have the opportunity to manage contracts to support delivery of services on the regional rail network.
In this role, you'll:
Join the Contract & Corridor Management Dept, of the Prioritisation & Asset Management Branch Division that Drives strategic assessment and challenge to facilitate decision making for the prioritisation of customer and asset priorities through robust portfolio performance and investment oversight. Act as Transport’s Asset Custodian and technical authority that drives asset management, innovation, optimisation and asset outcomes for whole of life transport asset portfolio.
Reporting to the Director Contract & Corridor Management, as the Senior Manager Country Regional Network (CRN) & Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) Contracts, you will be responsible for the effective administration, management and oversight of contracts to support delivery of asset and operational services on the regional rail network. You will manage both strategic and transactional aspects of the CRN operations and maintenance Deed, the ARTC lease, and other contracts associated with the regional rail network. You will provide high-level contractual advice, ensure contractual engagements align with risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements; and monitor and report on the achievement of deed objectives, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring accountability and value for regional networks.
This is a full-time Ongoing (Perm) Transport Senior Service Manager TSSM level role which is a State-wide role with the team predominantly based in Newcastle.

About you
- Extensive experience in commercial contract management within transport networks or infrastructure, overseeing high-value, complex agreements preferably related to rail infrastructure.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to influence senior executives and industry partners.
- Expertise in dispute resolution and risk management, ensuring contract compliance and effective issue resolution.
- Comprehensive knowledge of transport network operations, asset management, procurement, and contract law.
- Proven leadership in multi-disciplinary environments, aligning commercial strategies with organisational objectives.
- Adaptable in nature, you lead by example with the ability to drive change and to motivate team members towards achieving business objectives.
- As a good problem solver, with progressive and forward-thinking attitude, you have the ability to work where it is essential to have a good understanding of customer orientation and the operational demands that come with service delivery.
