Code Black Coffee is looking for specialty baristas with passion and experience to join our awesome team. If you think you're a standout barista and a real gun behind the machine, then we want you!
We’re looking for someone who is serious about making fantastic coffee, dedicated to providing outstanding customer service and who wants to enjoy coming to work in a fun but professional environment. Code Black Coffee is simultaneously a laboratory, a creative kitchen, a workshop, and a hub for connoisseurs of the dark art and science of coffee.
We believe that a great barista not only makes amazing coffee, but they also demonstrate a range of other skills such as great customer service, good communication skills, a high level of common sense and the ability to work well under pressure. If you think this sums you up and you feel that you would thrive working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment then we have the job for you.
To be considered for a Barista position you will have the following:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a full-time specialty Barista
- Be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of specialty coffee making techniques
- Have an incredible passion for coffee
- Have a high level of professionalism
- Be confident and have solid experience in high volume specialty coffee
- Able to maintain extremely high standards under pressure
- Be well presented and friendly
- Be able to work well in a team and communicate politely and effectively
- Be able to speak English confidently and fluently
At Code Black we work hard, we are proud of what we do and have fun whilst doing it.
Hours: 4-5 days (approx 32-38 hours per week) - weekends included
Location: Brunswick, Cremorne, CBD, Southbank or North Melbourne
Requirements: at least 2 years' experience in a similar role, and your current Victorian RSA
