In the role of the Senior Engineer (Civil) you will project manage the delivery of road infrastructure projects, provide technical expertise and support to the design, planning, construction and maintenance processes. In doing this you will ensure effective coordination of key operational activities and resources associated with project management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Administering contracts and managing preconstruction, construction, and maintenance activities.
- Determining engineering requirements and designing safe, effective traffic devices in line with legislation and guidelines.
- Managing contract performance, design, and construction practices to ensure best practices and high-quality outcomes.
- Preparing financial and performance reports using TMR systems like 3PCM Unifier.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant standards, policies, and legislative requirements for road infrastructure projects.
- Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support project delivery.
- Leading and coordinating project teams, fostering collaboration, and driving successful outcomes.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions
- A four-year, Washington Accord accredited, Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalence which is assessed/accepted by Engineers Australia against Washington Accord benchmarks.
- Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is mandatory for appointment to the position.
- A current Class 'C' Drivers Licence
- Must be eligible to work in Australia.
- Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check and serious disciplinary action declaration will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
- Pre-employment check of serious discipline history for the recommended candidate(s) as a condition of employment.
