About the role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll take ownership of safety, quality, delivery and cost performance across two manufacturing streams. You'll lead a team of two experienced Production Supervisors and Production administration while working closely with Sales, Engineering, Drafting and Warehousing to keep customer commitments on track.
Our Perth facility supplies wear-resistant ceramic and hose solutions to the mining industry, and we're looking for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead our Ceramics and Hose & Gasket workshops.
Key responsibilities
Lead, coach and develop supervisors and their teams
Plan capacity, schedule production, and manage factory order flow
Drive continuous improvement and cost/lead-time reduction (Lean, Six Sigma or similar exposure highly regarded)
Ensure SWI and procedural compliance, and lead WHS consultation across the workshops
Liaise with customers and Sales on delivery performance and technical requirements
About you
Demonstrated experience in a multi-stream production management role, with accountability for supervisors as direct reports
Engineering or similar tertiary qualification preferred (or equivalent experience); leadership and management qualification desirable
Strong ERP, scheduling and cost/quoted-hours reporting experience
Mining industry knowledge and the ability to read technical drawings and layouts
A "how can we make it happen" approach, with strong negotiation and communication skills
