The Role
Reporting to the GM Asset Management, the Asset Management Planning Specialist will play a key role in improving asset lifecycle performance across Dyno Nobel’s Asia Pacific operations.
This is a strategic asset management role focused on lifecycle planning, equipment standards, asset strategies, technical documentation and total cost of ownership improvement. The role works closely with technical engineering, field services, asset management teams, operations, procurement and suppliers to ensure equipment specifications, asset strategies and lifecycle documents are accurate, consistent, practical and clearly understood across all functions.
Success in this role will mean equipment specifications are standardised, lifecycle strategies are current, critical safety and reliability lessons learned are embedded into future designs and purchases, and asset decisions are supported by lifecycle cost, risk, reliability and compliance information.
Role Responsibilities
Develop, author and coordinate key asset lifecycle documents, including asset strategies, FMEA's, equipment specifications, lifecycle plans, technical standards and replacement strategies.
Develop and maintain equipment specifications and asset strategies that support safe, reliable and cost-effective asset performance.
Support lifecycle cost and total cost of ownership analysis for key equipment and asset classes.
Embed critical safety, reliability, regulatory and operational lessons learned into specifications, asset strategies and future equipment decisions.
Work with technical engineering, field services, operations, maintenance, procurement, suppliers and asset management teams to standardise asset requirements and improve lifecycle outcomes.
Support ISO 55001-aligned asset management practices across the Asia Pacific asset base.
Contribute to equipment replacement, refurbishment, reliability improvement and asset lifecycle optimisation decisions.
Support the ongoing improvement of asset management systems, processes, master data and documentation.
Travel to operating sites as required, approximately once per month.
What You’ll Bring

Engineering Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience in a manufacturing, heavy industry, mining services, process plant or similar operational environment.
Asset lifecycle, asset management, reliability, maintenance strategy or equipment strategy experience.
Familiarity with ISO 55001, ISO 55000 or similar asset management frameworks.
Understanding of regulatory compliance obligations in heavy industry, manufacturing, hazardous chemical, explosives, mining services or major hazard facility environments.
Strong technical writing capability, including the ability to develop clear specifications, strategies, standards and lifecycle documents.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a broad range of technical and operational stakeholders.
Ability to analyse asset performance, lifecycle cost, risk and reliability information to support practical asset decisions.
Ability to undertake site travel as required.
Highly Regarded
Heavy mobile equipment engineering experience.
Experience with SAP, CMMS/EAM systems, asset registers, maintenance strategies, equipment master data or reliability systems.
Experience with reliability improvement methods such as RCM, FMEA, defect elimination, risk-based maintenance or critical equipment strategies.
Experience developing equipment specifications, maintenance strategies, asset management plans or lifecycle replacement plans.
