In this role, you'll:
Working within our Safety Risk and Assurance Team at Sydney Trains, the primary purpose of our Safety Professional Safety Program position is to take responsibility to provide support and expertise in the development and implementation of initiatives for a range of behavioural safety programs across Sydney Trains.
You will be responsible for coordinating health, wellbeing and safety initiatives across Sydney Trains, including AED deployment, health assessment programs, occupational health initiatives, safety learning products, stakeholder engagement, SharePoint content management and program administration. The role provides implementation support for safety and health improvement programs and acts as a key liaison between operational stakeholders, subject matter experts, contractors and support functions.
The position works closely with stakeholders from across the business, the Transport cluster and the broader industry to achieve safety excellence and performance and drive positive safety behaviour outcomes.
About you
The role takes responsibility to engage with stakeholders to identify and implement opportunities for improvement in safety performance, leadership and safety maturity; engage and consult with the workforce and stakeholders as required, to drive new initiatives.
You will actively contribute to planning, developing and implementing specific targeted initiatives to improve safety performance, and support existing behavioural safety and human factor initiatives across the organisation.
You will conduct ongoing review, monitoring and analysis of organisational safety program effectiveness.
You will develop and provide reports of program performance for the consumption of senior and executive management as required
You will engage with multi-disciplinary subject matter experts within the organisation for guidance on specialist safety programs.
You will also lead, coach and support business units to achieve results, through promoting a high performance, human centred change programs.
This hybrid role is based in our Burwood Office and offered initially on a fixed term full time basis for a period of 6 months to begin with. There may be an opportunity for this position to then be extended on a permanent full-time basis.
