Primary objective
Manage and deliver grant reporting, business intelligence and data analytics that support compliance, contract management,
business performance monitoring and informed decision-making across departmental grant programs. Develop and maintain
systems, reporting frameworks and analytical tools that improve grant administration, identify emerging risks and opportunities,
and support continuous improvement.
Context statement
The Grants Delivery and Systems (GDS) unit provides grant management, advice, and reporting services for the Department of
Trade, Business and Asian Relations and other Northern Territory Government agencies. The unit manages grant programs that
support Territory businesses, industries, and communities, and delivers grant administration services on behalf of other agencies
to help achieve government priorities and outcomes.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Perform high-level data transformation and handling to meet business and planning needs including documenting and
development of contemporary reports.
2. Interpret and investigate reporting needs and provide flexible and sustainable responses to data collection and reports to meet
evolving requirements in grants.
3. Use business intelligence tools to analyse grant, contract and compliance data to provide quality reporting, forecasting,
performance monitoring and assurance activities.
4. Develop, implement and maintain end-to-end grant management solutions in line with program terms and conditions using the
grants management systems, including form design and process architecture.
5. Develop and deliver operational and strategic reports, dashboards and data insights that support grant compliance, contract
management, program performance monitoring and executive decision-making.
6. Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and identify opportunities for improved service delivery, with an emphasis
building and maintaining productive working relationships
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated experience in data analysis, reporting and business intelligence, including use of Power BI, SQL, CRM systems
or similar business intelligence and reporting tools. to develop high-quality reports, dashboards and insights that support
business planning and decision-making.
2. Demonstrated ability to analyse complex operational data and translate findings into actionable insights that support
compliance, business performance, program delivery and strategic decision-making.
3. Experience in the development, implementation and maintenance of business systems, workflows and reporting solutions to
support organisational objectives.
4. High-level analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret business requirements and develop effective
solutions.
5. Well-developed communication, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to establish productive
working relationships and provide quality client service.
6. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a complex environment, preferably within grants
administration, program delivery or a government setting.
