We are looking for a product manager to grow Eaton’s Australian transformer portfolio, including distribution and power transformers, pad‑mounts, dry‑type/cast‑resin units, accessories, and service offer. The role is accountable for portfolio strategy, pricing, demand planning, new product introduction, with the objective of driving profitable growth, margin improvement, and sustainable market share.
This position acts as the primary Australian interface to Regional and Global Product Lines, supply chain, and engineering, ensuring Eaton’s transformer offer remains competitive, compliant, and aligned to local market needs.
Key Duties
- Define and execute the Australian transformer portfolio strategy, including range architecture, market coverage, and roadmap input
- Build business cases for range extensions, rationalisation, and market entry decisions
- Own list and transfer pricing, discount structures, and value‑based pricing frameworks
- Support tender pricing strategy within delegated authority
- Monitor T&D, industrial, and infrastructure demand, tender pipelines, and standards changes
- Track competitor specifications, lead times, origin, and win/loss drivers
- Lead demand forecasting and S&OP inputs
- Align with supply chain on capacity, lead times, minimums, and inventory strategy
- Provide transformer selection and application guidance (ratings, cooling, vector groups, impedance, tap changers, losses)
- Own Australian and IEC compliance readiness (e.g. AS/NZS 60076 series, efficiency, environmental and safety requirements)
