Pastry Cook / Junior Pastry Chef – Croissants, Danish & Cakes
Location: Sydney, NSW
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Pastry Cook to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have strong experience in laminated dough production, including croissants and Danish pastries, as well as cake production and finishing.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality croissants, Danish pastries, and other viennoiserie products.
- Prepare and bake a range of cakes, desserts, and pastry items.
- Perform dough mixing, laminating, shaping, proofing, and baking.
- Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation standards.
- Assist with recipe development and seasonal product creation.
- Manage daily production schedules and stock rotation.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a pastry, bakery, or patisserie environment.
- Strong knowledge of laminated doughs, including croissants and Danish pastries.
- Experience producing cakes, fillings, mousses, and dessert components.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management.
- Relevant pastry or cookery qualification preferred.
