THE ROLE
As Assistant Manager, you'll support the Venue Manager in leading the day-to-day operations of a busy, high-volume venue.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading, motivating and rostering a team to deliver consistent, high-quality service
Overseeing front-of-house and bar operations during shifts
Managing stock control, cash handling and cost management
Ensuring full compliance with RSA, RCG and WHS requirements
Building genuine relationships with regulars and the local community
Supporting training and development to help grow a high-performing team
Stepping up to manage the venue in the absence of senior leadership
Helping drive a positive, values-led culture across the team
What you will bring:
Previous experience in a supervisory or Assistant Manager role within hospitality or licensed venues
Current RSA and RCG certifications
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support a team
A hands-on, community-first approach to service and guest experience
Confidence managing rosters, stock, and day-to-day venue operations
Excellent communication skills and a calm head under pressure
A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
