About the Role
We are seeking a detail‑focused and proactive Stock Controller to take ownership of stock accuracy, movement, and control across our event and hire equipment.
This role is critical to ensuring equipment is available, tracked, maintained, and ready for events. You’ll work closely with Warehouse, Despatch, Operations, Project Managers, and Sales, making this a high‑impact and highly visible role within the business.
The role suits someone who enjoys structure, accountability, and improving systems — but who also understands the realities of a fast‑paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate stock control and inventory records
- Manage inbound and outbound stock movements for events and projects
- Coordinate stock allocation for upcoming jobs and peak periods
- Conduct cycle counts and stock audits
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
- Work closely with Warehouse and Operations to ensure accurate picking and returns
- Track damaged, missing, or unserviceable equipment and follow up for repair or write‑off
- Support stock availability reporting for Events, Sales, and Operations teams
- Maintain clear documentation and system updates relating to stock movements
Systems, Processes & Operations Support
- Accurately maintain stock records within internal systems
- Support continuous improvement of stock control processes and workflows
- Assist Operations with stock forecasting and planning ahead of busy periods
- Support onboarding and training of staff on correct stock handling procedures
- Work collaboratively across departments to improve equipment utilisation
Safety & Accountability
- Support safe handling and storage of equipment
- Follow warehouse and operational safety procedures
- Assist with asset accountability and loss prevention
- Take responsibility for accuracy and transparency in stock reporting
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Previous experience in stock control, inventory, warehouse operations, or logistics
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Confidence working with stock systems and operational data
- Ability to work across multiple teams and priorities
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
Highly Regarded:
- Forklift licence
- Experience in events, exhibitions, or hire-based businesses
- Experience supporting large or fast‑moving inventories

Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm, Permanent, Fixed term
Pay: $55,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
