Crowne Plaza Canberra is looking for a motivated and relationship –driven Business Development Executive to join our team.
In this role, you will develop new sales opportunities and manage assigned account base to generate revenue and maximise performance for both the short term and long term in line with the annual business and strategic sales and marketing revenue plan for Crowne Plaza Canberra and wider IHG network
A little taste of your day to day

Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts

Maintain a strong sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, and relationship-building.

Support sales initiatives with site inspections, client entertainment and familiarisations, and other events that form part of the sales and marketing plan.

Manage events calendar within the sales units, ensuring all sales and conversion tools are in sync with destination and market specific events
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver seamless client experiences

Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and industry partners

Communicate client requirements and other relevant account/segment information to all relevant departments
- Conduct opportunity research using subscribed channels and available IHG tools to identify potential new business and opportunities
- Attend industry trade shows, networking events, and business forums to represent the hotel and generate leads.
What We need from you:
- You must have a working right in Australia
- Comprehension of hotel systems and revenue management practices.

A strong eye for detail and ability to analyze big data

Strong communication and persuasive skills
- Confident in negotiating and closing deals

Knowledge of the sales cycles, principles, and techniques.
- Exposure to consumer insights and brand behavior

Familiarity with Sales and Revenue Management Systems (Delphi, PMS preferably Opera)
