Carpentry Apprenticeship – 1st, 2nd or 3rd Year

Pay: $14–$35 above award wages for the right applicant.
Morton Carpentry Co. is looking for a motivated 1st, 2nd or 3rd year carpentry apprentice to join our growing team.
We mainly specialise in lock-up, fix and cladding, with some framing and renovation work. We're looking for someone who is reliable, willing to learn, takes pride in their work and wants to build a long-term career in the trade.
The Role
Your day-to-day work will include:
- Using carpentry hand and power tools
- Reading and interpreting building plans
- Taking accurate measurements and making calculations
- Lock-up and fix carpentry
- Occasional framing work
- Working as part of a team to meet site deadlines
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised worksite
- Learning and developing your carpentry skills
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Is punctual, reliable and hard-working
- Has a positive attitude and is willing to learn
- Takes direction and listens
- Has some experience using hand and power tools
- Takes pride in their workmanship
- Has good attention to detail
- Can communicate clearly and effectively
- Can work to deadlines and complete tasks to a high standard
- Has good problem-solving skills
- Is genuinely interested in becoming a good carpenter
Requirements
- White Card preferred, but can be obtained after commencing
- Basic carpentry hand tools required, including a nail bag, tape measure, square, chisel, etc.
- Driver's licence and reliable transport preferred
- Must be able to get to site each morning, or meet in Bacchus Marsh
Based in Bacchus Marsh without transport? That's not necessarily a deal breaker. If you're local and the right fit for the team, I'm happy to discuss picking up and dropping off each day.
