Todds Fibreglass Repairs Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Fibreglass Repairer to join our growing team in Capalaba, QLD. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work with quality materials and deliver exceptional repair solutions to our valued clients. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and restoring fibreglass products to the highest standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the reputation of our business.
What you'll be doing
- Assess and diagnose fibreglass damage, including cracks, delamination, wear and structural issues
- Prepare work surfaces and materials to ensure optimal repair conditions and quality outcomes
- Apply fibreglass repair techniques including layup, lamination, and reinforcement using appropriate resins and fabrics
- Operate and maintain specialised tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform finishing work including sanding, grinding, painting and surface treatment
- Conduct quality checks throughout the repair process to meet industry standards and customer specifications
- Document repair work and maintain accurate records of completed jobs
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Communicate with customers and team members regarding project status and requirements
- Assist with the management and organisation of materials and inventory
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Fibreglass Repairer or in a similar fibreglass fabrication or repair role
- Strong knowledge of fibreglass repair techniques, materials, and best practices
- Proficiency with hand and power tools commonly used in fibreglass repair work
- Experience working with resins, gelcoats, fabrics and other fibreglass materials
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes
- Sound understanding of health and safety requirements and practices in the trades industry
- Physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive manual tasks and work in various positions
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Reliability and a positive attitude towards work
- Preferably, experience with marine, automotive, or industrial fibreglass repair applications
