The current mine site locations are in the Northeastern Goldfields of WA, with multiple mining operations both open pit and underground. The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Advisor to join our high performing Site Services team at our Duketon operation.
Reporting to the Senior Contracts Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the development, negotiation and administration of company contracts, ensuring governance, compliance and commercial outcomes are achieved across a diverse portfolio of agreements.
This is a fixed term 12-month, site-based role, on an 8:6 FIFO roster.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
Supporting the delivery of end-to-end contract processes including tendering, evaluation, award and ongoing contract administration
Assisting with contract governance and compliance, including preparation and coordination of contract documentation and correspondence
Participating in contract negotiations, amendments and supplementary agreements to support commercial outcomes
Analysing contractor performance, cost data and reporting insights, identifying opportunities for improvement and value optimisation
Coordinating contract review meetings and engaging with internal stakeholders and contracting partners
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including legal, operations, finance and suppliers to ensure alignment and effective contract management
Supporting the development of contract terms and conditions with consideration to risk mitigation and protection of company interests
Promoting strong commercial practices and accountability across contract owners and stakeholders
Support and refresh when required the Duketon Contracts Register which defines an approved and manageable list of vendors to allocate individual contract accountability across site
Provide support for the delivery of Contract Management processes including: change management, progress claim verification, variations, site instructions and letter correspondence between Duketon and contractors
Skills and Experiences:
About you
To be successful for this role, you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Law, Engineering or a related discipline
Demonstrated relevant legal or commercial experience
Experience in contract tendering, evaluation, negotiation and management within a commercial or mining environment
Strong knowledge of commercial processes within a defined legal framework
Experience using ERP systems and e-commerce platforms
Well developed analytical and reporting skills, including forecasting and cost analysis
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, complex environment
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in formal correspondence and negotiations
Demonstrate the highest professional and ethical standards ensuring all actions are transparent and in accordance with company policy and values by working as part of a team, contributing to team outcomes and support to team members
Reporting to the Snr Contracts Advisor with matters that are unclear or there are concerns
