Role Description
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Full-Time Retail Sales Cashier to join our tobacco and convenience retail store located in Stanhope Gardens, NSW.
This on-site role involves serving customers, processing sales transactions, managing inventory, restocking shelves, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the store. The successful applicant will help maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store while delivering outstanding customer service.
This position requires flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends, public holidays, and extended trading hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and professional customer service.
- Operate POS systems and process cash and electronic payments.
- Assist customers with product enquiries and purchases.
- Manage inventory and conduct stock checks.
- Restock shelves, displays, and storage areas.
- Receive and organize stock deliveries.
- Maintain store cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Ensure compliance with tobacco sales regulations and age verification requirements.
- Support store promotions and sales targets.
- Work effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
Skills & Requirements
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Previous retail, cashier, or customer service experience preferred but not essential.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Basic computer and POS system skills.
- Strong attention to detail and cash-handling accuracy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual handling tasks, including lifting and restocking products.
- Reliable, punctual, and well-presented.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible availability across multiple days of the week, including weekends and public holidays.
