Under limited/general direction undertake duties in accordance with the agreed standards for the specified classification. The duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provide technical leadership and apply specialist knowledge of electronic security systems, including PSIM, EACS, CCTV/Video Management, and intercom platforms, and their supporting infrastructure, to maintain and enhance secure, high‑availability, mission‑critical environments.
Manage and coordinate the investigation of complex system issues, overseeing root‑cause analysis, the planning and execution of approved system changes, and assurance of corrective actions in accordance with governance frameworks and best practice.
Provide authoritative technical guidance on security system solutions, including options analysis and technical recommendations, and oversee their implementation to meet evolving stakeholder, security, and organisational requirements.
Contribute to ICT planning, design, and continuous improvement activities, ensuring security system considerations are embedded into broader ICT architectures, standards, and operational models.
Lead risk identification and mitigation activities, embedding risk management into operational and change planning, and provide clear, evidence‑based technical advice to senior stakeholders to support decision‑making.
Ensure the preparation, quality, and maintenance of technical documentation, standards, and operational artefacts to support system integrity, audit requirements, and knowledge sharing.
- Work collaboratively across ESS Operations, and engage with vendors, stakeholders, and other ICT teams to coordinate delivery, manage dependencies, and deliver integrated, sustainable, and fit‑for‑purpose security system outcomes.
