What You'll Be Doing-
Lead community awareness and engagement activities that promote positive mental health and wellbeing for young people

Coordinate events, workshops, campaigns and outreach activities across Esperance and surrounding communities

Support and facilitate the headspace Youth Advisory Group, ensuring young people's voices remain central to service design and delivery

Develop and implement community awareness and engagement plans

Build strong relationships with schools, community groups, local organisations and consortium partners

Deliver mental health literacy education sessions for young people, families and community members

Coordinate key awareness events including Youth Week, Mental Health Week, headspace Day, R U OK Day, Pride celebrations and Reconciliation Week

Create engaging promotional content and manage headspace Esperance's social media presence

Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams to ensure community activities align with service delivery goals

Identify new opportunities to strengthen youth engagement and community participation
What We're Looking For
You'll be someone who is passionate about young people, community development and creating opportunities for connection and belonging.
You'll bring:

Qualifications in Youth Work, Community Services, Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health, Social or Behavioural Sciences, or a related field

Experience engaging and supporting young people experiencing mental health, alcohol and other drug, or other social challenges

Experience coordinating youth programs, events, workshops or community initiatives

Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills
-
Experience developing and delivering community awareness campaigns or engagement activities
-
Excellent communication and presentation skills
-
A strong understanding of youth participation and community development principles
-
The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
-
A commitment to culturally safe, inclusive and person-centred practice
