The Opportunity
At Yarra Valley Water, our projects help deliver safe, reliable water and sewer services to more than 2 million Victorians.
As a Project Engineer in our Major Pipeline Projects team, you'll play an important role in delivering infrastructure that supports our growing communities. Working alongside an experienced Project Manager, you’ll work with our Delivery Partners to construct major Water and Sewer projects, while developing your technical and project delivery skills.
This is a great opportunity for an engineer early in their career who enjoys working collaboratively, solving problems and making a meaningful impact through infrastructure projects.
What You'll Be Doing
In this role, you'll support the successful delivery of major projects by:
- Assisting with project planning, coordination and reporting to help keep projects on track

Reviewing contractor and consultant submissions to support compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements

Coordinating RFIs, submittals and project documentation, while maintaining accurate project and asset records

Supporting site inspections, investigations and construction activities to help ensure works align with approved designs

Building positive working relationships with internal teams, contractors and delivery partners

Contributing ideas and initiatives that improve project delivery, safety and operational outcomes
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who is motivated to learn, collaborate and contribute to successful project outcomes. You may bring:
- A degree or diploma in Engineering (completed or currently in your final year)

Experience or exposure to project engineering, construction, infrastructure delivery or engineering design

An understanding of engineering standards, project management practices or construction processes

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Good organisational skills and attention to detail

A proactive approach and willingness to learn
