Disability Support Worker – Bowel Care, Personal Care & Manual Handling

Triniti Home Care is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team and provide high-quality, person-centred support to participants in their homes and communities.
We are looking for someone who is confident supporting participants with bowel care, personal care, and manual handling, and who understands the importance of maintaining dignity, safety, and privacy at all times.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide personalised care and support to participants, assisting them with personal care, bowel care, mobility, transfers, daily living tasks, and community participation.
You will work within a supportive team and follow individualised care plans and established procedures to ensure safe and consistent support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene.
- Provide bowel care in accordance with the participant's care plan, training, and clinical instructions.
- Perform manual handling and safe transfers, including use of mobility and transfer equipment where required.
- Assist participants with mobility and positioning.
- Support domestic tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
- Support community participation, including social outings and recreational activities.
- Provide transportation assistance, including driving participants to appointments, shopping, and community activities.
- Maintain participant dignity, privacy, safety, and wellbeing at all times.
- Complete accurate progress notes and report any changes or concerns.
- Follow individualised care plans, risk assessments, and workplace procedures.
- Work collaboratively with participants, families, healthcare professionals, and the wider support team.

Selection Criteria
- Minimum 1 year of experience in disability, aged care, community health, or a related sector.
- Experience with bowel care is essential.
- Experience providing personal care and support with toileting and hygiene.
- Experience with manual handling and participant transfers.
- Certificate III or IV in Community Services, Disability, Aged Care, or a related field.
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate, or willingness to obtain.
- Current National Police Clearance.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain.
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC), if applicable.
- Current Full Driver's Licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
- Good communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions consistently.
- Reliable, professional, and compassionate approach to participant care.
