Kitchen Hand – Evening / Closing Shifts
California Republic in St Ives is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Hand to join our kitchen team.
This role is mainly for evening and closing shifts, approximately 4–5 days per week. We are looking for someone who takes their work seriously, is punctual, dependable and willing to learn.
Key responsibilities:
- Washing dishes, kitchen equipment and utensils
- Keeping the kitchen and wash-up areas clean and organised
- Completing end-of-night cleaning and closing duties properly
- Assisting chefs with basic food preparation when required
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene
- Helping the kitchen team during busy service periods
We are looking for someone who:
- Is reliable and punctual
- Has a strong work ethic
- Takes pride in keeping the kitchen clean
- Is willing and passionate to learn
- Can work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment
- Is available approximately 4–5 days per week
- Is comfortable working mainly evening shifts through to closing
- Can stay until all closing and cleaning duties are properly completed
- Is available on some weekends
Previous kitchen experience is preferred, but not essential. We are happy to train the right person.
Reliable transport is highly preferred, as some closing shifts may finish late and public transport options may be limited.
