Bloomingtails is looking for an exceptional leader to join our growing team.
Are you an experienced Dog Handler/Trainer with a minimum of 2 years’ industry experience who is ready to step into a senior operations and leadership role?
We are looking for someone who is energetic, confident, organised, naturally bubbly and passionate about dogs, people and exceptional pet care.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to take ownership of a busy doggy daycare, dog grooming, dog walking operation, lead a passionate team and help shape the daily experience of our dogs, clients and staff.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As our Dog Handler/Trainer & Operations Manager, you will be responsible for helping lead the day-to-day operation of Bloomingtails, working closely with our CEO while maintaining our high standards of dog training, enrichment, safety, customer service and animal welfare.
You will be a key member of our leadership team and someone who is comfortable taking initiative, making decisions and leading from the front to make it the best experience for all dogs and owners at all times.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee daily operations and ensure the facility runs efficiently
- Lead, support and motivate our team
- Create and manage staff rosters and schedules
- Coordinate daily team operations and workflow
- Oversee dog training, enrichment and behaviour programs
- Maintain exceptional standards of animal care and welfare
- Ensure workplace and dog safety standards are consistently maintained
- Deliver outstanding customer service and build strong client relationships
- Train, mentor and support team members
- Manage day-to-day operational challenges confidently
- Assist with improving systems, procedures and team performance
- Lead by example and contribute to a positive, high-energy workplace culture
WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Essential:
* Minimum 2 years’ professional dog training experience
* Leadership and team management experience
* Strong roster and scheduling skills
* Operations management experience
* Pet First Aid trained
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Confident decision-maker and problem solver
* Energetic, positive and naturally bubbly personality
* Flexible and available to work 5 days per week.
* Comfortable working within a rotating 6-day operation
* Genuine passion for dogs and ethical animal care
THE PACKAGE
$80,000 -$85,000 per annum
5 days per week
