The Opportunity
Melton City Council is focused on creating a cleaner, more sustainable community through better waste and recycling services. The kerbside waste reform is a key part of this vision, helping households recycle more and waste less.
In this role, you’ll lead the rollout of the kerbside reform across the City, planning, coordinating, and making sure the community is informed and involved every step of the way. You’ll work with teams across council, residents, contractors, and government partners to make the transition smooth and successful.
Reporting to the Coordinator Waste and Cleaning Operations, you’ll play a key role in connecting people and ideas to deliver real environmental outcomes and help shape how our community manages waste for the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and deliver the mandated Kerbside Reform services across the municipality, working collaboratively with internal teams, contractors and external stakeholders.
- Support the delivery of education and community engagement initiatives, in collaboration with relevant teams, to facilitate the successful rollout of Kerbside Reform services.
- Provide guidance to residents and key stakeholders to promote understanding of and compliance with Kerbside Reform service requirements.
- Manage public enquiries and service requests relating to Kerbside Reform implementation, coordinating with contracted service providers to ensure timely issue resolution and consistent, high-quality customer service.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in waste and resource recovery, sustainability, environmental management, project manager or a related field with some relevant experience.
- Experience in project management.
- Relevant experience within the waste industry and/or service delivery of local government.
- Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
