AKD are seeking an ambitious and innovative individual to join the team in the newly created position of Group Maintenance and Reliability Manager. This position will provide national overarching Engineering and Reliability leadership and support with a focus on improving operational efficiencies and developing our maintenance workforce.
The position will deliver best practice reliability solutions and embed the Engineering and Reliability strategy and programs for all AKD sites. The successful applicant will drive continuous improvement opportunities and identify and implement strategies for improving asset reliability and maintenance execution. Supported by strong technical knowledge we believe the position will best suit someone with either a tertiary engineering qualification, relevant trade qualification or the equivalent.
Reporting to the General Manager of Operations, the position plays a key role between maintenance and our oper-ations and requires strong collaboration to support these functions at each of the sites across QLD, NSW and Victoria.
The position requires a team orientated person with strong communication and influencing skills who is self-motivated and solutions driven. The individual must be willing to challenge and enhance existing processes and systems and have the credibility to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
The role can be based out of any one of our sites or office locations in Queensland, NSW or Victoria.
Key duties & responsibilities:
- Providing reliability and engineering expertise
- Support the team in initiating, conducting and reviewing RCA and plant performance reviews
- Integration of our operations maintenance system (MEX)
- Mentor, collaborate and guide key Maintenance and Engineering staff across the AKD business regarding reliability performance and systems
- Assist in the design, planning, estimation, installation, and commissioning of new or recommended plant changes to improve reliability.
- Ensure effective decision making throughout AKD via the provision of reliable, high quality and up to date Engineering and Reliability information and reporting
