Our client is recruiting a talented Head Chef to lead their kitchen brigade in one of Barangaroo's most loved and iconic Restaurants.
For the successful candidate, an attractive salary packaged with other benefits will be under consideration based on experience and skills.
Reporting to the Group Executive chef you will be be responsible of the entire day to day operations of the venue including:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar role
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively direct the activities of other kitchen staff, including supervision and training and cost effective rosters
- Well-developed problem-solving skills, and ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively, as they arise
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, and as a part of a team, and maintain a timely, positive and enthusiastic approach under times of pressure
- Commitment to interact with clients and staff in a positive, courteous and respectful manner
- Excellent organizational skills
- Good understanding of and commitment to implementation of hygiene, safe food handling and workplace health and safety systems and procedures
- High personal hygiene standards
- Demonstrated knowledge of nutrition and cost-effective menu planning, to satisfy a variety of dietary requirements and tastes
- Previous experience in developing and managing budgets, and placing orders
- Monitor, analyse and adjust kitchen metrics, including meals, wages and costs on a regular basis, and report accordingly
- Willingness to work flexibly, including weekend work to meet program and event deadlines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $78,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
