We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Coolum team on a permanent part-time night shift basis, working set shifts on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday nights, with the ability to pick up additional hours as available.

About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Coolum aged care facility on a permanent part-time night shift basis.
This role is based in our 50-bed facility and is responsible for providing clinical leadership and safe, high-quality resident care during overnight hours. As the Night Shift Registered Nurse, you will provide clinical oversight, support safe medication management, and respond promptly to resident care needs throughout the night. You will play an important role in ensuring continuity of care, resident safety, and compliance with aged care standards during overnight hours

Set workdays: Sunday, Monday and Wednesday night shifts, with opportunities to pick up additional hours where available.
What You’ll Do
- Provide person-centred, evidence-based nursing care that reflects Sundale’s value of Care.
- Deliver safe, high-quality clinical care using nursing skills, knowledge and best-practice standards.
- Provide clinical leadership and support to Enrolled Nurses and Carers during night shift.
- Monitor residents’ physical, cognitive and emotional wellbeing, actively identifying and responding to any deterioration.
- Support safe medication management and clinical decision-making overnight.
- Coordinate clinical workloads to ensure safe, effective and timely delivery of care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including requirements that support the AN-ACC funding model.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, clinical standards, aged care requirements and Sundale policies.
- Work collaboratively with the broader multidisciplinary team to support holistic, person-centred care.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive and resident-focused environment.
What We Are Looking For
- Current experience as a Registered Nurse, ideally within aged care.
- Confidence working night shift and responding to resident care needs overnight.
- Strong clinical assessment, decision-making and escalation skills.
- Sound knowledge of medication management, clinical documentation and resident care planning.
- Working knowledge of AN-ACC and Aged Care Quality Standards, or willingness to further develop this knowledge.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with effective written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work semi-autonomously while maintaining strong clinical judgement and accountability.
- Resilience, professionalism and a positive outlook.
- A genuine passion for aged care services and resident-focused care.
- Flexibility to pick up additional shifts when available.
Required Qualifications or Certificates
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Current CPR certificate.
- National Police Check.
- Pre-employment medical assessment.
- Experience in the delivery of high-quality clinical care in an aged care environment will be highly regarded.
