Strikeforce is an award-winning shopper marketing and field sales agency, partnering with some of Australia’s leading brands and retailers across FMCG, DIY, Trade, Consumer Electronics and experiential activation.
Our culture is fast-paced, collaborative and results-driven. Our people are at the heart of what we do, and with a significant national field workforce operating across Australia, strong operational leadership is critical to delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients.
We are now looking for an experienced and highly capable State Manager – WA to take ownership of our Western Australian field operations across FMCG and DIY retailers.
Reporting to the National Field Manager, this is a broad and influential leadership role responsible for ensuring our WA field operations deliver consistently high standards of execution, service and compliance.
You'll lead and coordinate field activity across major retail environments including Bunnings, Coles, Woolworths and other key retail partners, ensuring our teams are capable, engaged and equipped to deliver for our clients.
From recruitment and training through to territory planning, field execution, compliance and stakeholder management, you'll have visibility and influence across the entire field operation.
You'll also play an important role in continually improving how we operate – identifying opportunities to strengthen productivity, optimise territories, improve communication and ultimately deliver better outcomes for our clients and our people.
- Take ownership of field operations across WA for our FMCG, DIY and Extravert divisions.
- Translate national and divisional priorities into clear, practical execution plans for our field teams.
- Oversee the successful delivery of merchandising, brand activation, relays, refits, display builds, new store setups and project-based activity.
- Ensure client programs are delivered safely, accurately, on time and in line with agreed service levels.
- Provide hands-on leadership and support when operational challenges arise.
- Partner with HR and operational leaders to recruit, onboard and induct field team members.
- Coach, train and develop teams to build capability, accountability and engagement.
- Ensure field teams understand client expectations, retailer requirements, systems, safety, compliance and reporting standards.
- Identify capability gaps and implement practical training and performance solutions.
- Build a strong field culture focused on communication, accountability and delivering quality outcomes.
- Develop and maintain effective WA territory structures to maximise coverage while balancing workloads, travel and commercial requirements.
- Coordinate resourcing across changing client priorities, projects and retail activity.
- Monitor labour, scheduled effort, mileage and expenses to ensure field operations remain productive and commercially sound.
- Identify opportunities to improve territory design, productivity and overall operational efficiency.
- Ensure field teams execute client briefs accurately and consistently across WA.
- Monitor call completion, service levels, planogram compliance, promotional execution, POS placement, stock requirements, new line activation, surveys and reporting.
- Maintain strong standards across field photography, data quality, task completion and reporting accuracy.
- Proactively identify issues and work with internal teams to resolve them quickly.
You're an experienced field or operational leader who knows that successful execution starts with having the right people, in the right places, with clear expectations and strong support.
You're comfortable leading geographically dispersed teams and equally comfortable moving between people leadership, operational planning, retailer relationships, data, compliance and commercial decision-making.
You'll ideally bring:
- Demonstrated leadership experience within field operations, retail, merchandising, FMCG, hardware/DIY, trade, brand activation or a third-party service environment.
- Experience leading geographically dispersed field teams across a large territory.
- Strong recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching and performance management capability.
- Excellent planning, scheduling and territory management skills.
- A strong understanding of retail execution, merchandising standards and client brief delivery.
- Commercial awareness and experience managing labour, travel, expenses and operational activity within budget expectations.
- Confidence using field reporting, communication and workforce management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to build trusted relationships with field teams, clients, retailers and internal leaders.
- A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a significant state operation while being supported by an experienced national leadership team.
You'll work across multiple divisions, leading teams that represent some of Australia's most recognised brands within the country's largest retail environments.
It's a role with variety, autonomy and genuine influence – where your ability to build strong teams, improve operations and deliver exceptional field execution will have a visible impact on our clients and our business.
If you're an experienced field leader who thrives in a fast-moving retail environment and enjoys bringing people, planning and execution together, we'd love to hear from you.
