Tell me about this role:
Amentum are seeking an experienced Tactical UAS Test & Evaluation Manager to play a key role in the acquisition, integration and delivery of advanced Uncrewed Aircraft Systems within a Defence environment.
Working as a trusted technical advisor, you will lead end-to-end Test & Evaluation activities to ensure new capabilities are safe, compliant, fit for purpose and ready for operational use. You will work closely with engineering teams, project stakeholders and Defence personnel, providing specialist guidance on testing, verification, validation, system safety and capability assurance. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior T&E professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and influencing critical Defence capability outcomes.

What will I be doing day to day?
- Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of Test & Evaluation activities across Tactical UAS programs
- Develop, review and approve test plans, procedures, reports and supporting documentation
- Plan and execute Preview, Acceptance and Operational Test & Evaluation events
- Assess technical and design documentation to support verification, validation and certification activities
- Conduct technical risk assessments and contribute to system safety programs
- Support systems engineering activities, including requirements development and verification
- Provide specialist Test & Evaluation advice to project teams and stakeholders
- Analyse test data and prepare technical reports, findings and recommendations
- Support the integration of new capabilities into complex operational environments
- Engage with a broad range of technical and non-technical stakeholders to achieve project outcomes
What sort of skills do I need?
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering or equivalent technical experience
- Formal qualifications or recognised training in Test & Evaluation
- Significant experience leading complex Test & Evaluation programs within Defence, government or industry environments
- Strong understanding of verification, validation, certification and capability assurance processes
- Experience conducting technical risk assessments and supporting system safety programs
- Experience producing high-quality technical reports and documentation
- Knowledge of Defence Test & Evaluation and systems engineering frameworks
- Current Australian Government Security Clearance (NV1 or NV2)
