Location: Sydney, NSW (Office based with client meetings across Greater Sydney)

Salary: AUD $95,000 – $120,000 + Superannuation + Performance Bonus + Long-Term Career Growth
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Founder and Alliance Director, you will lead our business development, marketing and client relationship strategy.
You will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, building strategic relationships, strengthening our brand presence, and establishing systems that generate sustainable business growth beyond traditional referral networks.
The successful candidate will work closely with our estimating, project management, manufacturing and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Develop and execute the company's business development strategy.
- Identify and secure new opportunities within:
- Luxury Retail
- Hospitality
- Commercial Fitout
- Premium Residential
- Corporate Interiors
- Generate qualified leads through networking, referrals and strategic prospecting.
- Build long-term relationships with architects, interior designers, developers, hotel groups, project managers, retail brands and consultants.
- Manage the complete sales pipeline from lead generation through contract award.
Marketing & Brand Development
- Lead the company's digital marketing strategy.
- Manage and grow our LinkedIn presence.
- Develop business opportunities through Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book) and other Chinese business channels where appropriate.
- Coordinate content creation across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and our corporate website.
- Manage CRM systems and marketing automation.
- Develop case studies, capability statements, company presentations and tender support materials.
- Improve website performance and SEO.
Strategic Partnerships
- Develop partnerships with:
- Architects
- Interior Designers
- Hotel Operators
- Luxury Brands
- Property Developers
- Consultants
- International Supply Chain Partners
- Represent the company at networking events, industry functions and exhibitions.
- Identify alliance opportunities that strengthen APPA's market position.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with Estimating, Project Management and Manufacturing teams to ensure proposals are commercially viable.
- Assist in preparing presentations, capability documents and client pitches.
- Support strategic planning and market expansion initiatives.
About You

Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Business Development, Key Account Management or Strategic Sales.
- Proven experience generating new B2B business opportunities.
- Strong commercial negotiation and presentation skills.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Australian driver's licence.
- Australian working rights.

Mandarin and/or Cantonese language skills will be considered an advantage, but are not essential.

Success in this role will be measured by outcomes rather than activity alone.
