About Us
Megalong is a unique farm-to-table hospitality destination located in the beautiful Megalong Valley in the Blue Mountains.
Our restaurant focuses on seasonal, produce-driven dining, with much of our fruit and vegetables grown on the property and livestock raised on the farm. Alongside the restaurant, our Megalong Valley Tearooms offers a more relaxed daytime dining experience, showcasing great local produce, coffee, food and hospitality.
We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic Front of House / Wait Staff to join our team across both venues.
About the Role
We are seeking confident, friendly and professional wait staff who genuinely enjoy hospitality and creating great experiences for guests.
You may work across both the restaurant and tearooms, giving you the opportunity to experience different styles of service within the same business.
The successful candidates will be comfortable working in a busy environment, have excellent attention to detail and understand the importance of warm, genuine hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional and attentive service to all guests.
- Take orders and confidently explain food and beverage offerings.
- Deliver food and beverages efficiently and professionally.
- Maintain a high standard of service throughout the guest experience.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the dining and service areas.
- Work closely with the kitchen and other FOH team members to ensure smooth service.
- Handle guest requests and feedback professionally.
- Maintain strong knowledge of menus, ingredients and seasonal produce.
- Assist across both the restaurant and tearooms as required.
- Follow responsible service of alcohol and workplace health and safety procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a restaurant, café, hotel or similar hospitality environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and looking after guests.
- Reliable, punctual and well presented.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a small team.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during busy services.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work weekends and busy periods.
- NSW RSA required for restaurant service.
- Barista experience is highly regarded for the Tearooms.
