About us:
The Central Queensland Public Health (CQPHU) consists of a multi-disciplinary team of staff including Public Health Physicians, Public Health Nurses, Environmental Health Officers, Epidemiologists, Data Managers, and business services staff, including some with regional wide roles.
About the role:
Provide autonomous clinical leadership, specialist advice and mentorship across public health nursing, communicable disease control and immunisation.
Lead disease surveillance, investigation and outbreak responses, helping identify risks early and protect population health.
Provide expert immunisation advice and support vaccination clinics, vaccine safety, cold-chain management and the School Immunisation Program.
Analyse public health data, promote evidence-based practice and lead quality improvement, policy and service initiatives.
Work closely with health professionals, community organisations and external stakeholders to provide timely education, advice and coordinated responses to public health issues.
About you:
Hold registration as a Registered Nurse via AHPRA is mandatory; any relevant qualifications would be considered highly desirable.
Bring advanced knowledge of communicable disease control, outbreak investigation, surveillance, immunisation and vaccine safety, with the ability to apply this knowledge across the community.
Provide clinical leadership, mentorship and specialist advice while building effective relationships with multidisciplinary teams and internal and external stakeholders.
Plan, deliver, monitor and evaluate public health programs, manage competing priorities and communicate complex information clearly through strong written, verbal and problem-solving skills.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $174,208 p.a. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $70.92 - $77.00 p.h.
