About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Telfer Operations team. This is a key technical leadership role providing specialist electrical engineering and reliability support to ensure the safe and compliant operation of all electrical systems across the site.
This is a dynamic, hands-on role that spans a broad range of fixed plant equipment within the ore processing plant- including milling, classification, flotation, gravity concentration, cyanide treatment, and thickening circuits. Experience with power distribution and generation systems will be beneficial but not necessary.
You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to drive improvements in safety, compliance, and asset performance, while contributing to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of Electrical Engineers, contractors, and site personnel.
Oversee the creation, review, and continuous improvement of site electrical standards, procedures, and systems (low voltage, high voltage, hazardous areas, functional safety, etc.).
Manage and maintain the site’s electrical configuration systems, including The VOLT and ETAP electrical model, ensuring all changes are documented and compliant with the Management of Change process.
Conduct technical investigations, fault-finding, and failure analyses, providing recommendations to improve safety and plant reliability.
Identify, prioritise and implement risk mitigation and reliability improvement initiatives across the Operation.
Support shutdown planning and execution, including availability during major shutdowns.
Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, promoting a strong safety culture across all work areas.
About You
Degree-qualified Electrical Engineer (accredited by Engineers Australia).
Substantial experience in electrical engineering within an operational or mining environment.
Proven ability to lead and coach teams, and to manage multiple technical priorities.
Strong working knowledge of Australian Standards, WA statutory regulations, and best practice maintenance processes.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in Maintenance strategy development, and electrical reliability and risk management programs.
Desirable experience with SAP
