As the Finance Data and Systems Officer, you’ll play an important role in ensuring Council’s financial data, systems, budgets and reporting are accurate, reliable and supporting sound financial decisions. Working closely with the Finance Data and Systems Lead, you’ll contribute to financial forecasting, cashflow and investment reporting, financial modelling, budgeting and long-term financial planning.
You’ll also help improve financial systems and processes, maintain data integrity, support ERP implementation and work with IT to resolve system issues. This is a varied role that combines finance, data and technology to help strengthen Council’s financial sustainability and deliver better outcomes for our community.
You hold a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or Business with at least three years’ experience and a strong interest in financial data, systems and analysis. You have experience working with financial models and corporate management systems, with the ability to interpret information, identify trends and support sound decision-making.
You’re a clear and confident communicator who builds positive relationships and works collaboratively with others. You’re organised, customer-focused and committed to delivering accurate, high-quality outcomes. You’re also motivated to continue developing your professional skills and are committed to pursuing a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) qualification.
