Barista / Café All-Rounder
About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Barista / Café All-Rounder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing quality coffee, providing excellent customer service and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the café.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality coffee, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, flat white and other beverages
- Take customer orders and process payments accurately
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service
- Prepare and serve food, drinks and takeaway orders
- Assist with food preparation and basic kitchen duties when required
- Serve alcohol responsibly and in accordance with liquor licensing requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the café
- Clear and clean tables and service areas
- Restock coffee, food, beverages and other supplies
- Operate the POS system and handle cash/EFTPOS transactions
- Follow food safety, workplace health and safety procedures
- Assist the kitchen and other team members during busy periods
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required
About You
- Previous barista or café experience preferred
- Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate required
- Confident in preparing quality coffee
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Friendly, energetic and approachable
- Reliable, punctual and well presented
- Able to work efficiently under pressure
- Works well as part of a team
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene
- Willing to assist across all areas of the café
- Weekend availability is required
- Flexible to occasionally work additional shifts when required(Friday/Saturday Nights)
- Public holiday availability is an advantage
