Job Description
We are seeking a passionate Registered Nurse to join our Pre-Admission Clinic on a permanent part-time basis. This role is ideal for an experienced nurse committed to delivering safe, high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating and evaluating the care delivery needs of each individual patient prior to the patient’s surgery.
You will work alongside skilled and supportive healthcare professionals in an environment that values clinical excellence, teamwork, and ongoing development. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your nursing career while making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.
From August, this role will be operating out of the Pulse Medical Building – a short 5-minute walk from Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring excellent clinical expertise and strong interpersonal skills. You will also be a proactive, team-oriented individual.
Skills and Experience Required:

Minimum 5 years’ post-grad surgical experience, or previous experience in a similar pre-admission role.

Current Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse

Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team and at times autonomously

Highly organised with a proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service

Demonstrates strong adaptability in dynamic situations

Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal

Responsible for conducting nurse-led pre-admission clinics and performing baseline observations (eg. QADD’s, 12-lead ECG, providing pathology requests and advising Surgeon of any results outside of parameters prior to surgery).
