Fast and Curious ELC Kanahooka - Full-time Room Leader Opportunities
Fast and Curious ELC Kanahooka is getting ready to open its doors and we’re looking for confident and experienced Room Leaders who want to help establish their room and lead their team from the very beginning.

About the Role
As Room Leader, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the daily operations of your room
- Developing and delivering high-quality, child-centred programs aligned with the EYLF
- Leading programming, planning, observations and documentation
- Maintaining vigilant supervision and leading your team in upholding child safety, wellbeing and NSW Child Safe Standards
- Creating a room culture where children's voices are heard, their rights are respected and concerns are taken seriously
- Building positive relationships with children and families
- Mentoring and supporting your team
- Creating engaging, inclusive and developmentally appropriate environments
- Establishing positive routines, expectations and team practices
- Contributing to reflective practice and continuous improvement
- Working collaboratively with the Centre Director and leadership team
- Contribute positively to the wider culture of the service
About You
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or an approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification (Graduate Diplomas are not suitable)
- 2–3 years' experience in an Australian early childhood setting (Room Leader experience highly regarded)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with families, children and colleagues.
- Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS and child development
- Demonstrated experience in programming, intentional teaching and quality documentation
- The ability to lead, mentor and support educators
- A commitment to child safety, wellbeing and inclusive practice
- The confidence to identify, respond to and escalate child safety concerns appropriately
- Professionalism, warmth and a genuine love for early childhood education
You will also have:
- Full working rights in Australia
- A current NSW Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certification (Or willingness to obtain)
