About the Role:
We are currently seeking a Mechanical / Production Engineering Technologist to join our assembly unit on a full-time basis. This is a hands-on and technical role, crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing and assembly lines. The ideal candidate will have a passion for continuous improvement and production excellence.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Assist in the design and development of engineering systems, products, and processes.
- Prepare technical drawings, plans, and specifications for ongoing projects.
- Use CAD software to create prototypes and production models.
- Support the full product lifecycle from concept through to delivery.
- Monitor and ensure that assembly processes are carried out efficiently, correctly, and safely.
- Collect and analyse plant performance data.
- Troubleshoot process issues and liaise with the operations team.
- Develop process flow sheets and assist with commissioning and field support.
- Provide technical input into feasibility studies and technical reports.
- Recommend and implement improvements to existing assembly processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles and other process improvement strategies.
- Liaise with internal departments (operations, engineering, sales) and external stakeholders (customers and suppliers).
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment (assembly experience preferred but not essential).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of CAD tools and engineering design principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
- Excellent analytical, planning, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Pay: $85,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
