Family Medical Centre Clinics is seeking enthusiastic and experienced Medical Receptionists to join our growing practice on a casual basis. As the face of our medical centre, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and efficient administrative support to our patients and clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment where you can make a real difference to the health and wellbeing of our community.
You will be required to be available Monday to Sunday 7am to 8pm. We are a 7 day a week medical centre. You must be flexible to work both evenings and weekends for this position.
You must have your own car and be available to travel between clinics. There is clinics located at Goodna, Kenmore, Redbank and Sherwood. We are seeking someone who is flexible to work across all the clinics.
Minimum of 3 days per week - including weekend shifts
What you'll be doing
- Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Managing patient bookings, cancellations and rescheduling via phone, email and in person
- Accurately maintaining and updating patient records and medical histories
- Handling patient enquiries and directing them to the appropriate healthcare professional
- Performing general administrative duties such as filing, photocopying and data entry
- Ensuring the reception area is well-presented and welcoming at all times
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a medical reception or administrative role, preferably in a general practice or healthcare setting
- Minimum of 1 year experience in medical reception is preferable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with patients, clinicians and other healthcare professionals
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload
- Proficient in using medical software and computer applications
- Experience with Medical Director software is a bonus
- A caring, empathetic and patient-focused approach
- A genuine interest in healthcare and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service
- Australian work rights are required for this position
