Located at Howard Smith Wharves, Stanley is a modern Chinese restaurant with a focus on exceptional produce, bold flavours and refined cooking. Stanley delivers an experience that is all about great food, great people and incredible hospitality.
As a CDP at Stanley, you’ll play an important role in delivering consistently high-quality dishes across service. You’ll work closely with our senior chefs while developing your skills in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and cooking dishes to Stanley’s high standards
- Running your section efficiently during service
- Maintaining exceptional food quality, presentation and consistency
- Supporting the Sous Chef and Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
- Ensuring food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards are maintained
- Working collaboratively with the wider kitchen team
- Assisting with stock rotation, preparation and kitchen organisation
- Helping develop junior chefs and creating a positive team environment
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or experienced Commis Chef ready for the next step
- A genuine passion for cooking and hospitality
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume environment
- Great attention to detail and pride in your work
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with Asian or Chinese cuisine is advantageous, but not essential
