THE ROLE
As Investment Associate for our Retirement Living Core Fund (RLCF), you'll get exposure to the full lifecycle of investment management - from origination and transactions through to asset management and investor relations.
You'll play a hands-on role in fund modelling and capital management, contribute to real estate investment opportunities and development feasibilities, and help shape the strategy and reporting that keeps our investors, board and Investment Committee informed.
Day-to-day you will be (but not limited to):
- Maintaining the detailed fund model to produce forecast returns (IRR, income and capital) and running sensitivity analysis
- Contributing to the identification and analysis of real estate investment opportunities, including project development feasibilities
- Assisting with the execution of new real estate transactions and equity/debt capital raising
- Building strong relationships with existing and potential investors, and working with external valuers on portfolio valuations
- Preparing strategy papers and analysing market conditions, opportunities and trends
- Contributing to regular and ad hoc reporting, including Investment Committee memos and board reporting
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 5-8+ years' experience in real estate, corporate finance, investment banking, management consulting or a related field
- University degree with a major in Finance, Commerce, Property or Economics desirable
- Strong numerical and financial modelling skills, with experience in cash flow modelling and investment valuation techniques
- An understanding of the Australian real estate investment market and development process desirable
- An entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable contributing across origination, execution and asset management
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships across finance, operations and development teams
