Casual Support Workers – North Brisbane & South Brisbane
Solara Support Services is looking for warm, reliable and engaging Support Workers to join our team across North Brisbane and South Brisbane.
We’re looking for people who genuinely enjoy connecting with others and can provide support that feels natural, respectful and person-centred. Our clients have different personalities, interests and support needs, so we value Support Workers who can build genuine rapport while still being reliable and professional.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with daily living activities and routines
- Meal preparation
- Light household duties, including cleaning and laundry
- Grocery shopping and errands
- Transport to appointments and community activities
- Supporting clients to get out into the community, socialise and pursue their interests
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Encouraging independence, choice and confidence
- Completing clear and accurate progress notes and documentation
About You
You don’t need to have the biggest personality in the room, but you do need to be friendly, approachable and genuinely interested in the people you support.
We’re particularly looking for people who are chatty, kind and engaging and who understand that good support is about more than completing tasks. It’s about building trust, having a laugh, noticing when someone needs a bit more support and helping people live their lives in the way they choose.
Essential Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Reliable vehicle
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable and professional approach
- Kind, positive and engaging personality
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
