Job Description
The Senior Manager, Visa Direct Sales – AuNZPI is responsible for driving sales growth, client adoption, and commercial performance across Visa’s Visa Direct money movement portfolio in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
This role has primary sales accountability across Visa Direct’s three key product verticals: of Visa Direct to Card, VXBS (formerly Currencycloud) and Visa Direct to Account and Wallet.
The role requires a highly commercial, proactive and outcome-oriented sales leader who can identify opportunities, shape client demand, influence senior stakeholders, and accelerate revenue growth across both fintech and bank clients.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong agency, urgency and ownership, with the ability to operate independently, navigate complex organizations, and influence decision-making at all levels from product, treasury, operations and technology teams through to C-suite executives.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive Visa Direct Sales Across VXBS, VDC and VDAW

Execute the sales strategy for Visa Direct across all product verticals in AuNZPI.

Build and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities across banks, fintech's, payment service providers, remitters, digital platforms, wallets and other relevant client segments.

Identify and convert high-value use cases including cross-border payments, domestic disbursements, merchant settlements, gig economy payouts, wallet funding, remittances, card-to-card transfers, account-to-account flows and other emerging money movement opportunities.

Translate product capabilities into clear client value propositions, commercial benefits and implementation pathways.

Deliver against agreed sales, revenue, volume, pipeline and activation targets.
Lead Commercial Engagement with Fintech and Bank Clients

Act as a senior commercial lead for Visa Direct opportunities with both established financial institutions and high-growth fintech clients.

Develop trusted relationships with client decision-makers across business, product, digital, payments, innovation, treasury, risk, compliance and technology functions.

Engage confidently with senior executives, including CEOs, COOs, Chief Product Officers, Heads of Payments, Heads of Transaction Banking, Heads of Digital and other senior stakeholders.

Understand client strategies, pain points, operating models and commercial priorities to position Visa Direct as a strategic growth enabler.

Influence clients to prioritize Visa Direct solutions within their roadmaps and investment decisions.

Develop Market and Client Opportunity Plans

Maintain a clear view of the AuNZPI money movement landscape, including banks, fintech's, wallets, remitters, digital platforms and emerging payment providers.

Identify priority clients and use cases for Visa Direct adoption.

Develop client-level opportunity plans, including target use cases, commercial potential, stakeholder maps, barriers to adoption and execution plans.

Track competitive dynamics and market developments across cross-border payments, real-time payments, account-to-account payments, card-based payouts and wallet-based money movement.

Provide regular pipeline reporting, sales forecasts and market insights to senior leadership.
Partner Cross-Functionally to Deliver Outcomes
The role is based both in Sydney.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:

9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD

Experience in enterprise sales, business development, payments, transaction banking, fintech, cross-border payments, money movement or related financial services.

Proven track record of selling complex payment, banking or technology solutions to fintech and banks or large enterprise clients.

Understanding of payment flows, including card-based payments, account-based payments, cross-border payments, disbursements, remittances, wallets and digital money movement.

Experience working with senior stakeholders across financial institutions, fintechs or payment ecosystem participants.
