What you'll be doing
The Adult Eating Disorder Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) works as part of the NSLHD Virtual Eating Disorder Service to provide trauma informed, culturally responsive, evidenced based, direct nursing care and consultation to adult consumers ( 18 years) with an eating disorder and their families/carers, living in or admitted to NSLHD services. In particular, the CNS will utilise telehealth and virtual care models to provide a post discharge service to consumers and their families presenting to NSLHD services; support GPs and primary care clinicians in the screening, assessment and treatment of eating disorders; act as a liaison point for clinicians, consumers and their families/carers to navigate accessing appropriate care and provide a specialist nursing service to consumers within the NSLHD Eating Disorder Service. The CNS also provides clinical leadership, support and supervision of less experienced clinicians within NSLHD inpatient, community and primary care settings, to achieve high quality care across the eating disorder spectrum of care.
