My Care Living is seeking a calm, resilient, and emotionally intelligent Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality support to a participant in the Springwood area. This role requires someone who can manage complex behaviours professionally, stay composed under pressure, and never take things personally — while delivering consistent, compassionate care.
We are looking for a female support worker in line with the participant’s preference for personal care and support.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide personal care and daily living support with patience and consistency
- Administer medication safely and accurately according to support plans
- Support mobility and transfers using hoists and safe manual handling
- Maintain clear, accurate, and timely documentation and progress notes
- Respond calmly and professionally during periods of emotional or physical distress
- Build trust through clear, compassionate, and consistent communication
- Work collaboratively with allied health professionals and the broader team
Shifts are flexible and include days, afternoons, evenings, sleepovers and weekends.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Disability Support Worker in NDIS settings
- Confident and competent with medication administration
- Strong attention to detail with documentation and support plans
- High emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills
- Ability to remain professional and composed — without taking things personally
- Resilient, patient, and positive attitude when managing complex behaviours
- Confident using hoists and performing manual handling
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Reliable car + valid driver’s licence with comprehensive insurance
- Female support worker (participant preference for personal care and support)
Highly Desirable
- Experience with complex behaviours or high emotional needs
- Experience in high-intensity disability support
- Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent)
