Job Purpose:
Identify, pursue and win new business opportunities within the large Corporate and Government sector. This will include developing and maintaining strong strategic relationships with clients, prospects and partners, while driving revenue and profit growth across the business.
Who You Are:
You are an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) with extensive experience working with large Corporates and/or Government Departments at senior levels including IT, Procurement, Finance and ESG. You will preferably have experience within the IT sector, selling hardware, software or managed services. Leading the overall client engagement, you will thrive working autonomously as well as part of a team. You will get a lot of satisfaction knowing your success also provides life changing employment opportunities for Indigenous youth as part of our social enterprise group of companies.

- Revenue Growth: Consistently drive revenue growth through new business acquisitions, market expansions, and client retention.
- Strategic Partnerships: Developing and nurturing strategic partnerships with clients, stakeholders, and industry players.
- Cross-Functional Relationships: Developing relationships with key stakeholders with your clients, including CIO, CISO, Sustainability Manager and Strategic Procurement.
- New Business Generation: Identify and secure new business opportunities that align with the company's objectives and growth strategies.
- Market Expansion: Expand the company's market reach by exploring and entering new markets or segments through effective market research and penetration strategies.
- Deal Closure Rate: Effectively managing the sales cycle and demonstrating a high rate of successful deal closures, converting leads into profitable contracts.
- Client Satisfaction and Retention: Ensuring high levels of client satisfaction through tailored solutions, excellent service delivery, and maintaining strong client relationships, leading to repeat business and referrals.
- Employment Opportunities: Your success directly results in employment opportunities for Indigenous youth.
- Utilising CRM & Technology: Ensuring the CRM is used to maximise efficiency, including ensuring the system is current and contains all relevant information.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in a senior role and;
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Experience, knowledge and skills:
- Preferably ICT experience selling hardware, software or managed services to senior management stakeholders
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency using CRM software

Remuneration: Base annual salary of between $120,000 and $150,000 + super, depending on experience. Commissions payable with OTE of up to $250,000 + super.
