Chef Wanted
We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and passionate chef to join our kitchen team. This role would suit someone who takes pride in preparing quality food, works well in a fast-paced environment, and can contribute positively to the smooth running of the kitchen.
The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals to a high standard, assisting with menu planning, maintaining consistency in presentation and portion control, managing prep work, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are followed.
We are looking for someone with previous experience in a commercial kitchen, strong time-management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The right person will be calm under pressure, organised, dependable, and committed to delivering a great dining experience for customers.
Duties may include:
- Preparing and cooking menu items to standard
- Assisting with daily kitchen prep and service
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen
- Following food safety and hygiene procedures
- Managing stock rotation and reducing wastage
- Supporting menu development and specials where required
- Working closely with other kitchen and front-of-house staff
Experience as a chef or cook is preferred, and relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
Pay: $36.00 – $59.00 per hour
